InteriorCo was formed through a buy and build transition that brought together a number of players in the Australian commercial interiors sector.
The group has grown revenues through geographic expansion across Australia and New Zealand and entry into new product categories. The company has become one of two market leaders in the $1bn commercial furniture sector and also operates in the commercial fit out sector.
In 2012 InteriorCo acquired its key components supplier in China. This transition has in-sourced significant value added and allowed the onshore operations in Australia to be focused on customisation and delivery. The China acquisition also provided InteriorCo with a bridge head to expand into China and SE Asian markets.
Acquisitions being targeted as part of the ongoing buy and build strategy in Asia and in Australia include commercial furniture agencies, suppliers of furniture to healthcare, education or hospitality, and manufacturers of architect and designer specified building products.
