Pemba Capital Partners, a leading investor in the Australian and New Zealand Business Services sector, has invested in HR3, a specialist provider of employee management software and solutions.
About HR3
HR3 is one of Australia’s leading providers of employee management solutions. The business offers integrated payroll, human resources (HR) and occupational health and safety (OHS) software and solutions. HR3’s software has been developed as a fully integrated solution that can be deployed as a desktop and / or web application. Further deployment options allow for on premise or cloud access. Being fully integrated means customers’ payroll, HR and OHS information can be kept in the one system.
Since being founded over 30 years ago, HR3 has grown substantially due to its reputation for market leading functionality, scalability of its technology platform and its quality customer service.
Background to Pemba Capital Partners’ Investment
Pemba met the HR3 management team in 2015 and tracked the business as it continued to grow. The management team were keen to work with an investor that could help them reach the next stage of their development. Pemba stood out because of its proven track record of partnering with business services providers and enabling them to expand, through both organic growth and extending the range of services and solutions provided.

Pemba has backed HR3’s highly experienced, incumbent management team, which includes Rick Verloop, CEO, and Michael Benyon, COO. Rick founded HR3 in 1984, with Michael joining in 1988, each having significant experience in the employee workforce management space.
The Future
Pemba will work with the management team to grow HR3 both organically and through carefully selected acquisitions to meet the increasing demand for its services.
