Pemba Capital Partners (“Pemba”) has entered into an agreement to acquire a majority interest in leading Disability and Child Youth and Family Services company ONCALL Group Australia (“ONCALL”). Pemba is partnering in the acquisition with the founders of the business, Anna Fleming and Robert Fleming, as well as the operational management team.
ONCALL, founded in 2005 has since grown to be the leading Victorian private provider of specialist services in the Disability, NDIS and Child Youth and Family Services Sectors. ONCALL is renowned for its ability to deliver high-quality service offerings in emergency and non-emergency circumstances, positioning ONCALL at the forefront of the sector. The Flemings put the company’s success down to the continual investment in people, technology and processes.
Today, ONCALL has more than 1,700 specialist care workers in over 3,000 sites throughout Victoria and has dual provider registration and accreditation in Disability and Child Youth and Family Support Services in Victoria.
With the announcement of the NDIS in 2013, ONCALL embraced the initiative and saw this as a great opportunity for participants to have maximum choice and control about the services they receive. The business invested heavily in its back end bespoke systems to ensure it was at the forefront of information and technology required to run efficiently under the NDIS. With Pemba’s backing ONCALL is positioned for growth into other States across Australia now that the NDIS is fully rolled out throughout all states & territories except for WA (being rolled out in 2020).
Anna Fleming, Founder of ONCALL Group Australia said “We are excited about the next steps for ONCALL and moving to offer our specialist skills across Australia. We believe we have found an alignment in Pemba, which hold the same core values and passion for many of the most vulnerable people in our community.”
Mark Summerhayes, Managing Partner of Pemba said “We are excited to be partnering with the Flemings and their management team at ONCALL on this exciting next phase of their journey. We were primarily attracted to ONCALL by its unique business model, its ambition to make NDIS a success nationally and its strong focus on compliance. We aim to provide the business with ongoing strategic support and capital to go national and grow the number of disadvantaged people in Australia who benefit from new sources of funding.”
